12 children from Lakenham Primary School worked alongside our Director, Roxanne Matthews and Castle Museum staff to discover the wonders of 1000 years of Norwich history in 2012. Together they went on an adventure around the Norwich 12 buildings, to hunt down their favourite objects and features to be included in a family trail, written and designed by the students themselves. The project was funded by Heart (Heritage, Economic and Regeneration Trust), as part of Shaping24.

The first day of the project by project leader Roja, age 7...
Firstly we learnt each others names by playing a game. Then we talked about the 12 buildings we are going to visit. Also we discussed what our favourite buildings were and what we know about them.
After that we got in to groups of 3 and chose one of the buildings, we wrote down facts and questions about things we'd like to know.
Next we watched a video about all the 12 places we are going to visit. Some of the buildings we are going to visit are: Norwich Castle, the Forum and the Great Hospital.
